Close Knit Sisters is a dream come true for two real-life sisters. Zoe (the oldest) and Cheryl (the wisest) have been avid knitters all of their adult lives (and maybe a couple of years before they grew up)! Their brother Rick (the one their parents really wanted) thought up the name of the shop, so this is a real family affair.

Our goal is to provide the Mount Washington Valley with a local alternative to high quality, yet reasonably priced yarn.
We have an assortment of locally hand-spun yarns as well. We offer a wide assortment of patterns, needles and notions, and BUTTONS! The valley has been needing a button supplier for many years, and we are the answer!

There are classes offered, and a daily "Unwind and Knit" where anyone can come in and sit, bring in a project to knit, get advice or admiration for a wonderful piece of fiber craft! We will provide a comfortable, homey and supportive atmosphere to explore this phenomenon of creation.

This is what a customer had to say about our shop:

"Close Knit Sisters - where else can you call in the middle of the morning and say "Umm, I need one more skein of that yarn I bought yesterday...." and the owner says - "OK...know which one...will keep it under the desk for you." Later in the day, I picked it up. Saw a mutual acquaintance knitting...this is a shop you W...ANT to visit and stay for a while just to take in the beauty and the peace."

HIDDEN BROOK FIBERS!!

We are so happy to have Hidden Brook Fibers in our shop. Our neighbor, Carol Dennison, raises alpaca, sheep, goats and angora rabbits and then presents us with these gorgeous yarns! There are different blends (merino, alpaca, pygora and angora) and colors - hand dyed in her home. Each batch is named after one of the contributing critters - we even have a couple of pictures (pygora goat and angora rabbit)!
Please stop in and look and feel these yarns, they are worth the stop!
